Morningstar Inc. - Data Management Analyst
Morningstar's Back Office Services team seeks an entry level Data Management Analyst to provide an efficient back-office solution for our licensed users. In this position, you will expand your knowledge of Morningstar products and electronic data population processes. The position is based in our Oakland, Maryland office. As the Data Management Analyst, you will update, correct, and maintain active databases of multiple clients and their accounts. This takes place through an electronic process that retrieves data from entities such as mutual fund companies, financial institutions, broker/dealers, and data transfer agencies, then transfers this data into our software. You will monitor this process for issues, which may require research and correction. You will communicate with clients to explain or clarify data, while preserving the confidentiality of client data. Manual input may be required for clients and accounts that are not electronically processed. The Data Management Analyst also maintains quantitative and qualitative records of any actions taken.
We are looking for candidates with excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the investment industry and an in-depth understanding of computers. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based applications is required. A college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
